Radical Normal Lifeが閉鎖

Gotcha のヴォーカリストであるUッチーのブログ "Radical Normal Life" が、この投稿で触れられているようにちかじか閉鎖することになったようだ。

私は彼独特の真摯さがいっぱいに溢れたこのブログが好きだった。もちろん彼といまだ実際に対面したことのない「距離」も踏まえながら読んでいたが、このブログがあったから「距離」を感じさせなかったのも事実だ。

(笑) の多さもまた彼にとって「(アナーコ) パンクスであること」は、われわれにとって「好感度」とはなにか？ を常に思考し続けることであり、それはまた彼が言い続けているわれわれの「共に」に繋がることゆえの彼の「やり方」だったと私は推測している。というより私自身がそう思っている。

残念ではあるが、同志として彼の決断を最大限に尊重し、今後の彼の動向に注目したい。さらには、彼がしつこく言い続けている「共に」をより「共に」実践できるような関係を深く楽しく築いていきたい。

Preying Hands

当方からリリースするわけではないが、カナダはモントリオールの Preying Hands というバンドを紹介。

より詳しい情報については、彼ら自身のMyspace や、ドイツのDIYアナキスト＝パンク・レーベル/ディストリビューション "Ruin Nation Records" が運営する "Ruin Nation Blog" のログを当たってほしいが少し説明する。

彼らは、日本のパンクスの間でも人気を博した Ballast (既に解散) を始めとして、Desperate Living、Snake Master、Last Days のメンバーによって結成されたニュー・バンドである。そして、ヴォーカルは、Ballast の "Spoke" で、いわば「ex-Ballast」と言っていいバンドだ。

サウンドは、Ballast の延長線上にあると言って差しつかえない。その Ruin Nation Blog にもあるとおり、より Sofahead や Snuff のような後期UKのメロディアスなパンクロックの影響が色濃いが、もちろん Ballast のような激しさも残しており、これまた同様に人気を博しそうだ。

ちかじか、1stアルバム (LP/CD) をリリースするようで、 USバージョンがシアトルの Inimical Records、ヨーロピアン・バージョンがドイツの Ruin Nation Records 及び Contraszt!、フランスの Fight For Your Mind、そしてポーランドの Trujaca Fala の共同によりリリースされる。

Ballast の Spoke がヴォーカルということで、彼らの持ち味であった具体的な「政治性」をひたらす個人的な観点で認識しようとし、より広範な「政治性」へと拡げようとした歌詞も言うまでもなく引き継がれているようだ。

LOVE POTION - Ejaculator CD (Too Circle Records) ￥1,000

デンマーク・コペンハーゲンは、"K-Town" のヘイト・ハードコア・パンクス "Love Potion" - 彼らは、Asbest、Death Token、Dead Instrument といったこの地のオールスターパンクスによって結成されたばかりのニュー・バンドである。本作は、同地の Adult Crush からリリースされた1st 7" "Ejaculator" のCDバージョンと言えるもので、追加で未発表2曲、さらにはデンマーク国内においてのみ流通されたというデモ・テープ "Taste the Love" が加えられた全14曲を収録。

本作のオビでも宣伝されているとおり、まさに「新たな刺客」と呼ぶにふさわしい彼らのサウンドは、初期 Poison Idea、あるいは、Jerry's Kids のような 80's ボストン・ハードコアの影響を非常に感じさせるものである。そこに、80's スカンジ・テイストも加えられ、猛々しいことこの上ない。それでいて、曲の練られ具合も完璧と言えるもので、これはテンションが上がる。

また、憎悪を撒き散らしながら、ひたらす「Crazy Fucked Up 日常生活」に根付いた歌詞を叫ぶヴォーカリストもたまらない。オーバードース (薬物過剰摂取) な印象も受ける彼らだが、彼らにとって「オーバードース」とは、俺たちが「正常」思想に侵されない意識を持つための認識なのだ (ここでは「実際の」オーバードースの概念は根本的に関係ない)。彼らの曲には、"Overdose" (オーバードース) という曲もあるぐらいだ。

しかし、だれが「オーバードース」しているのか？ 俺たちは「オーバードース」を自分とは無関係の問題として捉えすぎている。あるいは、「オーバードーズ」を「特定」の人間だけの責任として押しつけすぎている。だって、俺たちはみな「オーバードース」しているじゃないか。「正常」思想なぞクソくらえだ。彼らの "Overdose" (オーバードース) の中で唄われている「人生が終焉を迎えている」は「道連れ」という名の俺たちの連帯を指している。もう一度言おう。俺たちはみな「オーバードース」しているのだ。

今般、フリーターユニオン福岡は、「偽装委任契約」を使ってピアノ講師を使い捨て、不安定貧民（プレカリアート）をなめきって団体交渉を拒否しているカワイ音楽教室を弾劾する声明を以下のとおり公表し、全世界の闘う不安定貧民の仲間のみなさんからの賛同を募ります。みなさんからいただいた賛同で、この小さな闘いの火にガソリンをぶっかけます。頂いた賛同署名を沿えて、この抗議声明をカワイ音楽教室につきつけます。

【不安定貧民声明】カワイ音楽教室による偽装委任契約、ピアノ講師使い捨て、団体交渉拒否を徹底的に弾劾する

★使用者責任から逃げて労使関係を偽装し、ピアノ講師を使い捨てるカワイ音楽教室を許さない！

★偽装委任契約とそれを支える経営思想は全ての不安定貧民（プレカリアート）の敵だ！

カワイ音楽教室はピアノ講師たちと「委任契約」を結んでいますが、これは、実態としては会社と講師とのあいだに「雇用」の関係があることをゴマカす「偽装委任契約」であると組合は考えています。ある人が「雇用」されているかどうかを判断するには、その人が会社組織・事業体に従属しているか、上司などの指揮命令にしたがい、時間や場所を拘束されて働いているかどうかなど、いくつかの要素によって判断されますが、カワイ音楽教室のピアノ講師は、裁判の判例でも確立している複数の基準から考えても「労働者」としての性格が濃厚です。

「委任」というのは通常、専門技能を持つ独立した事業者に特定の業務処理を任せることです。確かにピアノ講師には一定の専門的な能力が要求されますが、カワイ音楽教室は特定業務をこなすプロとして講師を信頼して業務を委任してはいません。カワイ音楽教室は「強制ではない」などと言い逃れをしつつも各種の研修を講師に課して、その「研修費」などは講師との合意も曖昧なまま給料から天引き処理し、組織の一員として会社の方針に従って働くように講師を指導・指揮しており、講師は時間的・場所的にも拘束されて働いています。また、講師が報酬額を上げるためには、お金を払って会社の指定する資格を取得しなければならなかったり…「委任契約」の常識からはありえない慣行がまかり通っています。

どんな形態であれ、企業が人を労働力として使用するかぎり、労働者には安心して働く権利があり、経営者には使用者としての責任があります。会社が実態としては労働者を使用しているのに、労働基準法の適用を逃れて、会社の都合でいつでも講師を使い捨てるために、一年単位の「委任契約」を更新しつづけるなどということは全く不当なことです。

カワイ音楽教室は、上のような論点に関する組合の指摘に対しては、何の根拠もなく「契約は正当」と言い張るだけで、しかも、組合が交渉を要求した後になって、それまで本人は明確に伝えてもいなかった問題点を挙げ連ねて契約更新を拒否しました。

契約の形式が雇用であれ委任であれ、団体交渉の権利は相当広範に認められるべきものですが、カワイ音楽教室は、団体交渉に応じる法的義務をも拒否し、他の圧倒的多数の講師は何の問題もなく契約を更新しているにも関わらず、組合を通じて待遇改善のための意見を申し立てた講師を排除しました。こんな会社が「子供に感動を伝える」…って、どういうことでしょうか？子供に感動を手渡ししているのは、実際に子供と接しながら働いているピアノ講師であって、高い給料をもらって事務所でそっくりかえっている経営者、人を簡単に使い捨てる経営者ではありません。

私たちはこのような事例がカワイ音楽教室だけに限られたものではないことをよく知っています。同じような境遇の人々が全国に、全世界に存在し、いま人を使い捨てる資本企業の意志に抵抗して闘い始めていることを知っています。偽装委任契約やそれを支える企業の経営思想はプレカリアート（不安定貧民）の敵です。私たちはここに、「カワイ音楽教室による偽装委任契約、ピアノ講師使い捨て、団体交渉拒否を徹底的に弾劾する」声明を発表し、不安定貧民、労働者の広範な闘いに連なる各地の仲間たちの賛同を募り、連帯する不安定貧民労働者たちの怒りの声をカワイ音楽教室に対して突き付けます。

This 2nd album of Germany's KOBAYASHI that used Japanese for the band name (it is a popular family name in Japan) is just their best staff as extolled by all DIY punk/hardcore labels which is intimate with them in Germany. They play very outstanding melodic punk/hardcore that is not able to be compared to any band, and all the songs are powerful truly. Although each of the songs are abundant also in variations, there is their consistent color. Intelligent, unique and deep personal-political lyrics are filled with passion for our unknown, and the consideration/dissident's mind for all the lies in this society, although a prospect is not bright. Moreover, it is amazing that the contents of the lyrics and the style of the songs fit exquisiteness. The lyrics are translated into English, Spanish, and Japanese (the Japanese translations were translated by Acclaim. By the way, their lyrics became the factor to which we love them more and more in process in which we translate the lyrics into Japanese. It mean the connection of more than music for us). Laura of Disface participates by guest vocals (on "La valla"). LP is gatefold sleeve, and CD is digipack (There are plus 20 pages booklet). Personally, the artwork which feels familiarity is also expressing Kobayashi of this very well. This is a super record truly!

And I was heated to the thoughtful angry political lyrics. This special Japanese edition is their discography so far including split 12" LP with "Lahdon Aika" (Finland) and 1st demo CDR. Therefore, it will be able to be said that it is CD version of the split 12" LP. Co-released with 3 Japanese DIY labels (including we "Acclaim"). They are band that acts aggressively in Finland now. They insist : " D-BEAT RULES THE WORLD! "

ACM004 : DOWN TO AGONY - Requiem Por Un Mundo Enfermo 7" ￥400
The brand new 4 songs 7" from the Spanish powerful & crushing Neo-Crust hardcore-punk band who recorded after the first LP "No-Vida". This band is a sound that mixed His Hero Is Gone, Tragedy and Fear Is The Path To The Darkside but they've their own "darkness". And, the vocalist who does scream in tragic voice expresses misery and death of ourselves invented by this sick world. But in their words, there's a conviction to the reality of our own desires to the last. That is, this one is a just "Requiem por un mundo enfermo (Requiem for a sick world)" as told by the record's title. We (A)cclaim Collective didn't know this band at all until there's contact from them. But we felt that our and their standpoint and purpose were the same, so we decided to participate in this co-release. because they have said like thisー"we still live, we still burn, we still love". Great artwork.

ACM003 : EASPA MEASA / NEMETONA - split 7" ￥400
EASPA MEASA from Dublin, Ireland are super female / male vocaled political hardcore 5 piece, and they play amazing crusty melodic hardcore fury. If their sounds are described, it is a sound like Disaffect meets Submission Hold based on Tragedy! (but this is a comparison not significant at all. It will be understood if you touch this band). The 2 songs of this split 7" is re-recording of "Dead Inside" & "Maggots and Worms" from their "Renounce & Dethrone" demo, and these are faster and louder than the demo. their unrelenting lyrics are in English and speak about the police that increase control, our struggle in this world based on greed, violence and power. With Japanese translations of their lyrics of course. An excellent artwork by Glyn of THE DAGDA. By the way, this band's name is traditional Irish language (not spoken by many people any more in Ireland), it is translates as "Lack Of Respect" in English, and pronounced "Ah-spa Mah-sa". NEMETONA is a Japanese female fronted raging crustcore attack. Female vocalist named the "Ascum"-- her insane powerful shout is a charm of this band. Their 3 songs are first recording after the bassist joins, and it becomes a new line up. Moreover, it is a first real recording as for the band. When I saw this band for the first time in "Crust Night 2004" that "Tribal War Asia" organized, and I decided to do release of them in the mind. Their show was awesome. I'm very excited because I achieved the release of this 7" that becomes release of Acclaim's first Japanese band also.

ACM002 : REACCION PROPIA - Inercia Somatica CD ￥900
REACCION PROPIA are passionate powerful hardcore from Bogota, Colombia. They're not the sounds of a so-called "South American type HC" but are very emotional, melodic and metallic. And, they have great anarchist social/political lyrics filled with love and anger. In additon, there's a very considered view to this exact, cruel capitalist system in their lyrics. This CD is Japanese version of their 1st album (2004), and the English translations of lyrics and its Japanese translations that do not exist on the original Colombian version released from their own "PERSISTENSIA RECORDS" is newly added to this CD. So to speak, it will be able to be said that this CD is an "International version". The artwork is also another new version. 10 songs in all. They're very important band that can know another wonderful South American hardcore.

REACCION PROPIA - Inercia Somatica CD (ACM002)

" Not sure what is up with my system but every time I pop this disc in my computer lists the band name as Fury of Five, it changes the song titles to those of that band’s This Time It’s Personal album and shows me Fury of Five’s street graffiti-like logo. The music is other, though not that far distanced.

Reaccion Propia do not hail from New Jersey. Instead they call beautiful and powdery Colombia home and like most South American musicians making angry music they sound pissed and…mmmhhh…somewhat generic. Their hardcore is rather melodic but far from wimpy. Most of the melodies sip through the guitars which efficiently drop economic albeit typical hardcore riffs. More distinguishable, though not out of the box, is the vocalist’s painful screams. Dude sounds like he is about to implode like a balloon over filled with water. That or his voice, which is being stretched, is about to give out.

The vocalist doesn’t care about his future, but as a player, the dude in charge here is the drummer. He fills spaces tastefully, accelerating enough to include double bass drumming when the band charges like a Formula One. What sounds like samples, but is more likely spoken word passages recorded by the band or friends, is also included in several songs. It’s a touch that only makes this band’s sound more recognizable but it hardly improves the songs.

More interesting than whole songs are certain passages where Reaccion Propia seem to actually be thinking like an imaginative beast. It’s not strange for this band to include blast beats and breakdowns. Intelligently this South American combo downplays the breakdown part and pieces like the clear strings in “Circulos Estaticos” stand out. Better yet are some riffs that resemble black metal’s usual blur. These ideas are broken, especially when the vocalist breaks in with his blown throat. Here was a band striving for its own sound. They weren’t there quite yet and they will never be. Reaccion Propia called it quits in 2008. "

Acclaim Upcoming Releases でも告知したが、スウェーデンの Massmord の作品を当方からリリースすることがようやく決定した。タイトルは、"Hatet vi alla bär" 7"。既に1stアルバム "Inget liv/Ingen dot" LP/CD (2006)、2ndアルバム "Unleashed" LP/CD (2007) の2枚のフルアルバム、そして、split LP/CD with Shades of Grey (2008) の1枚のスプリットをリリースしている彼らだが、本作は初の7"のリリースとなる。彼らはこの7"の録音を今夏後に行う予定。また、本作は、Active Rebellion (UK)、Halo of Flies (U.S.)、Nakkeskudd Plater (Norway)、Plastic Bomb (Germany) との5レーベル共同でリリースされる予定。おそらくリリースは秋ぐらい。

冒頭で「ようやく」と書いたのは、実は私はかなり以前から彼らにリリースのオファーをしていたからだ。1stアルバム "Inget liv/Ingen dot" を聞いていたく気にいったのがその理由だった。しかしながら、当時他のリリースが既に決定していたことや、ヴォーカリストの Tijana 及びギタリストの Ida の脱退などバンド内の事情も重なり、彼らに当方からリリースの意志はあるもののなかなか決まらずにいた。そして、最近メンバーが固定し、ゆえに「ようやく」ということとなった。本決まりになった今、本当にエキサイトしているところである。

今年6月には、ヨーロッパ・ツアー、さらに、来年2010年には、USツアーも控えている彼ら。よければご注目を。

追記: ちなみに、脱退したヴォーカリストの Tijana 及びギタリストの Ida は、Massmord 結成当時から、並行して Beyond Pink というオール・フィメール・パンク/ハードコア・バンドをやっており、最近、ドイツの Contraszt!、ポーランドの Emancypunx より New 7" "Try This At Home Kids" をリリースしたばかり。このバンドもかなりのかっこよさなのでよければチェックを。

Tunguska / Karaktermoord split 7" (ACM016): Review

TUNGUSKA / KARAKTERMOORD - split 7" (ACM016)

" Good split 7” here from Ireland’s TUNGUSKA, and KARAKTERMOORD from The Netherlands. KARAKTERMOORD starts S-L-O-W with a doom-y Dystopia vibe, before right angling off into a song that sounds like it could be an undiscovered His Hero is Gone number. Filthy doom laden crust. Lovely stuff. TUNGUSKA unleash a fearsome Tragedy/Disfear/Visions Of War style crust number, d-beating their way all over your bonce, and by rights ought to get your fist pumping and your brew spilling all over the people next to you. They follow things up with a Rudimentary Peni cover. I can imagine in tiny sweatbox of a venue with a bunch of punks, these two would provide one heck of a fun gig. Check out the excellent cover artwork to boot! "

Alpinist / Finisterre split LP (ACM022): Review

ALPINIST / FINISTERRE - split LP (ACM022)

" The Alpinist side of this split is highly enjoyable. It's Saturday morning and I've got a pretty crap day lined up, but at least I spent a bit of time listening to Alpinist. Crust hardcore / d-beat with what I think contains some screamo influences, the band blaze their way through four tracks of quite varied length (shortest song is two minutes, longest is almost nine). From the instrumental side it's fairly typical crust as far as I can see but done really well. There are lots of really harsh raging parts and there are times when things lighten up and get a bit more melodic. What I mean by screamo influenced is that the vocals are less deep and gruff that you usually get - they are more high pitched and shrieking. That's the shit that gets me going, overall its a great side and the band are touring the UK in April with Sand Creek Massacre, so go see them!

Finisterre play a similar style to Alpinist but more typical crust in vocals. It's good, crust is not my favorite genre so I'm not sure I can analyse it much further. Lots of bands play like this and they generally seem decent but all end up sounding the same. If you like the genre then definitely check them out! Both bands are from Germany by the way, and this is a joint release between eight labels. "

NAGASAKI NIGHTMARE / BLUNT - split LP (Accidia HC) ￥900 restocked

イタリア/スペイン・グレート・ポリティカル・ネオクラスト・スプリット。イタリアの Nagasaki Nightmare は、新録全3曲収録で、今回は、よりコンセプト的な音作りとなっている。前作・Contrasto との split LP で聞かせた「From Ashes Rise meets Madame Germen」的なダーク・エモクラストをさらに昇華。ブルータルさを失わず、より詩情を追求した結果、現時点でのこうしたスタイルのバンドの中では、トップ・レベルと呼べる曲を創り上げていると思う。スペインの Madame Germen が好きな人は絶対聴いてほしい。そしてまた、彼らの魅力は、理想的な見物人になるしかないこの世界における生の「堕落」と「奪還」を反復させたような歌詞である。次は、スペインの Blunt だ。彼らは、この作品からあまり期間を置かずにファースト12"をリリースしていた。その中で聞かせていた His Hero Is Gone、Tragedy、From Ashes Rise 影響下にある一連のスパニッシュ・スタイルとでも言うべきサウンドは、さらに迫力が増したようだ。終始テンションが下がらない圧倒的な演奏にやられる。歌詞は、俺たち自身が「オーナー」となり、自由を取り戻すことの止められない感情を叫ぶ。彼らは、全5曲収録。現時点でのベスト・ネオクラスト・スプリットと言い切れる非常に好内容の作品だ。

Acclaim Collective (A) から split 7" with Nemetona、続いて split LP with Silence をリリースと、もはや「レーベル・バンド」と言っていいアイルランド・ダブリンのアナーコ・クラスト "Easpa Measa" だが、今後新たなリリースが続々と決まっているようだ。

まず、スペインの Humildad Y Honestidad およびドイツの Contraszt! から、これが現時点での彼らの最高傑作と言ってもいい名作 demo CD-R "Renounce & Dethrone" がLP化。そして、待望の新曲を収録した同郷の Divisions Ruin との split LP も現在製作中。また、フランスの Stonehenge より、The Assassinators (Denmark)、La Fraction (France)、Ballast (Canada)、Signal Lost (USA)、Criatura (Spain)、Juggling Jugulars (Finland)、Abductee S.D. (Sweden)、Schifosi (Australia)、Slowa We Krwi (Poland)、No Rest (Brasil)、Witch Hunt (USA) らと共に参加した反セクシズムがテーマの4 x 7"コンピ・ボックスセットもリリースされる。メンツを見てお分かりのとおり、このコンピにはすべて「女性」がフロントに立つバンドが参加している。

次呼ぶとしたらこのバンドか？ なんてことも漠然と思っているが、しかしまだ日本では無名なので、しばらくは彼らの宣伝活動に専念します。なんで、今後もこの Acclaim Collective (A) Blog で彼らの動向を幾度となく紹介していくつもりです。

KHATARINA - Little Girls Never Say No And Big Girls Always Want More 7" (Deaf Forever) ￥500

"Little Girls Never Say No And Big Girls Always Want More" (小っちゃな女子は絶対にノーと言わない。でも、大っきな女子は常にもっとと言いたがる) と題されたフィンランド・トゥルクのバッド・アス・フェミニスト・Dビート "Khatarina" のセカンド・シングル。新曲 + Demo からの再録を含む全8曲収録。

Discharge および Disclose、そして初期スカンジナビア・ハードコアに多大な影響を受けながらも、しかしひたすら "Khatarina" と言うしかない存在感を醸し出している彼女らのDビート・サウンドは、さらにノイジーに、さらに性急に。曲の完成度で言えば、前作 "Ala Eparoi, Vaan Aparoi 12" だが、曲の勢いで言えば、本作と言えるかもしれない。相変わらず抜群に息の合ったコーラス・ワークもかっこよい。

また、彼女らの魅力は、ジャケなどのアートワークに見られるようなこの少しおかしなセンスとビビッドな色遣いだろう。いわゆるDビート・バンドとは思えない。このことは、パンクにおいて、私たちはどこに「力」 (「気合」と読み替えてもいいだろう) を入れるのか？ というパンク本来の大切な問いを思い起こさせてくれる。パンクに対して「力」だけを求めるなら理解するのが難しいかもしれない。けれども、私はパンクに「力」が必要かそうでないか、という二元論を言いたいわけではない。私たちは「力」を一律化させすぎてないか、ということだ。

2009年4月4日から4月12日まで敢行された Khatarina / Screwithin / Unarm "Killer Blow" Japan Tour with Acclaim Collective では、本作にも収録されている "Break the chain" (元々 Demo の曲) が毎晩彼女らの締めの曲として演奏されていた。答えはこの曲の中に隠されている :
