旧ソ・ベラルーシのアナキストパンク・バンド―別名―モーターライズド・クラスティ・アナーコパンク ”I Know” の新作10”。 2007/8年及び2006年の2つのセッションを収録した全12曲収録 (2006年のセッションは Rebel Scene からリリースされた Bagna との split CD の音源を数曲リマスタリングしたもの)。Antiglobalizator、Jiheart らのヴォーカリストであった Dasha をフロントに配するこの I Know は、たとえば Ballast のような現代的なメロディック・クラスティ・ハードコアの影響濃いサウンドと言っていいだろう。しかし底にあるのは前述の Antiglobalizator、Jiheart らのロシア語圏ベラルーシ・バンドで、その独特の雰囲気はタイプを特定するのは難しい。パンク活動と政治活動、そして日常生活が強く関わり合っていることがうかがえる歌詞からは、この世界で俺たちを取り巻いているもの、この世界でなにが悪いのか―あらためてそのことを考え続けなければならないと思わされた。彼らが水平的な行動主義者としてのパンクスであろうとしていることは明白だ。表題曲 “the end of democracy” は2007年3月に強制排除をうけたコペンハーゲンの Ungdomshuset を大々的に取り上げた曲。レーベルお得意のシルクスクリーン印刷されたジャケットもクール。

DOWN TO AGONY - requiem por un mundo enfermo 7" (ACM004)
" Maybe I haven’t been hip to 7 inches for long enough but it just seems like ever since vinyl has been in a surge, labels and bands are making an effort to put out really good looking shit. And when you have a bunch of labels collaborating (in this case Acclaim, Oxigeno, Sadness of Noise and others), therefore lowering the costs, this, some sort of luxury, becomes more possible. In the case of Down to Agony’s Requiem Por Un Mundo Enfermo (Requiem For a Sick World) it comes with a six-panel sleeve, one side of which is a gorgeous black and gray poster. There is also an insert with all the lyrics translated to Japanese. Sure thing, lyrics are important in hardcore, but I doubt many Spanish speakers will get what is been said here as the vocalist screams and stretches his pipes to an almost ridiculous point. The music is articulate; furious but also nuanced, with enough feeling to transmit something beyond fury and ire. Down to Agony is a highly prolific hardcore band from Spain. FINISTERRE - bitter songs LP (rinderherz) ￥1,300
Acclaim から Alpinist との split LP をリリースしたジャーマン・ポリティカル・モダン・パンク/ハードコア "Finisterre" のファースト・アルバム。以前のフロントのツイン・ヴォーカル形態から、男性ヴォーカリストの till が抜け、女性ヴォーカリストの manuela がメイン・ヴォーカルとなった本作は、より Fall of Efrafa のようなポスト・クラスト色が強くなリ、スケールのデカいサウンドとなった。そして、ジェンダー及びセクシズムに対する突っ込んだ言葉が増えたことも重要な進化だろう。「正常であること」によって社会の監獄に押し込められているレズビアン、移民、障害を持った女性といった人々の可視化はまぎれもなく家長制社会の上であぐらをかいている「正常」野郎どもへのビッグ・ファックオフだ (このことはそのような人々が「女性であること」で差別されるだけでなく、「国籍」 = 西洋文明の「正常」で差別されることも意味している)。これこそ本質的な反資本主義パンク/ハードコア・レコード。Acclaim Distribution is here
